Summertime in Quebec City is full of fabulous ideas for group excursions. There are truly amazing events taking place all over…guaranteed excitement and enjoyment for visitors coming to experience Quebec City in its summer splendour.

Here are a couple of my favourites:

  • At nightfall, meet beneath the Dufferin-Montmorency highway overpass for Les Chemins invisibles (Invisible Highways), Chapter 3: Le Royaume de Tôle (The Tin Kingdom). The Emperor invites the public into his realm, free of charge – a strange and sensational urban cabaret that features a unique mix of acrobatics, street dance, music and multimedia…all bearing the unmistakable stamp of Cirque du Soleil. For more information, please visit Cirque du Soleil.
  • Don’t miss the famous architectural projection by Robert Lepage and Ex Machina …presented this summer in a remarkable new 3D makeover version. Audience members at the site receive special glasses to view the history of Quebec with a new pair of eyes! A breathtaking projection event on a grand scale from the Bunge grain elevators in the Old Port. From June 28 to September 3. Find out more at Image Mill.

Or…

  • Come aboard the Louis Jolliet for a thrilling 4 hour and 30 minute cruise on the Saint Lawrence River. There’s no more exciting way to enjoy this year’s colourful Fireworks Competition entries, complete with their synchronized musical scores played loud and clear on shipboard. July 23, 27, 30 and August 3, 6, 10. Bookings and information.

Beautiful Quebec City is full of incredible sites and events…enough to make any visit unforgettable. What’s more, our hotel is located in the perfect spot to make the most of these must-see attractions.

A word to the wise: To plan your visit just the way you want it, try making your reservations at the start of the week, when there’s usually a wider selection of rooms at favourable rates. Even when our summer season is up and running, there are almost always a few dates available in July and August. So please feel free to contact me…I’ll be delighted to book your group reservation today!
