Fall in love with Québec and all its magnificent colours…
18 August 2011
To guarantee your tour guests a colourful experience like no other…Book for October now! One of my favourite activities this time of year is Halloween on the Plains of Abraham. Open from October 1 to October 31.
All through the month of October, ghosts, goblins and ghouls will be out on the Plains of Abraham looking for visitors brave enough to meet and mix with them. The National Battlefields Commission invites everyone to take part in this fright-filled festival of fun. Thrills and chills guaranteed for the young and young at heart! Activities include a Haunted Tower, Fantastic Rally, Gruesome Lantern Tour, Family Day, Gloomy Décor and (new this year!) a Family Lantern Tour. Information and reservations: 418-649-6157
Another attraction you can enjoy by daylight or at night is the Joan of Arc Garden, where mysterious decorations recall historic events and folklore of the Plains of Abraham: the White Lady of Cape Diamond, the Witches’ Sabbath, the Voices of Joan of Arc, La Corriveau (an original Quebec City horror story), the Widow’s Walk, the white “Credo 1941” stone, Phantoms Behind Bars…and much more. A number of tombstones remind passers-by of historic figures that left their mark on the Plains. Free admission.
Many other exciting activities are available on the Plains of Abraham. To find out more, http://www.ccbn-nbc.gc.ca/_en/index.php
Even if not part of your official tour, these activities are ongoing and just a short walk from our hotel. So it’s easy for your tour guests to check them out during their free time – an exciting extra everyone’s sure to enjoy.
